Douglas Laming

On December 15, 2023, Douglas Laming, 70, was arrested for the November 2, 1980 murder of 21-year-old Karen Humphrey in Port Huron, Michigan. Humphrey’s body was found in the State Game Area of the Beards Hills.

A DNA profile of the suspect was developed from biological material recovered from Umphrey’s clothing.

The FIGG investigation was conducted by Othman in partnership with the Michigan State Police and the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department, beginning in 2022.

Laming is facing charges of first-degree murder in St. Clair County where he is currently being detained.
