Ralph Leslie Kroll was arrested on October 8, 2020 and charged in an October 1995 kidnapping and sexual assault in Riverside, California. An 18-year-old woman was grabbed by a stranger while walking down Indiana Avenue in Riverside. She was forced into a nearby apartment complex and sexually assaulted.

The charges indicate that Kroll is a prior sex offender who has not complied with the terms of the registration. Kroll has pled not guilty, and the case against him is pending in Riverside County Superior Court.
Kroll pled guilty to the charges on October 27, 2021 and was sentenced to 8 years in prison. He continues to deny the charges, however, and claims that he cannot remember where he was, or what happened.
